We are a MoCap agnostic service - anything with a Live Link plugin will work!
Download a plugin zip file in order to add it to existing or new Unreal Engine Projects.
- Make sure to get the zip that matches both your computer and version of Unreal Engine you have installed
- i.e.- if you are on a Windows computer and installed Unreal Engine 5.7, get the “Impulse_v1.1_win57” plugin zip
- Go to the folder of an existing project, or create a new project, close it, and go its folder
- Find or Create a folder called “Plugins” in the project folder
- If you are upgrading your Impulse plugin version, remove the folders/files for the old version of the plugin first
- NEVER MODIFY PLUGIN ASSETS OR SAVE ANYTHING YOU ARE WORKING ON IN THE PLUGIN FOLDER IN YOUR PROJECT. IT WILL GET LOST WHEN YOU UPGRADE YOUR PLUGIN. IF YOU NEED TO MODIFY ANY PLUGIN ASSETS, DUPLICATE THEM INTO A NEW FOLDER IN YOUR PROJECT’S CONTENT FOLDER
- Unzip the plugin file into the projects plugins folder
- The plugin folder is actually called “ChoreoCompanion_v2” instead of Impulse, but is referred to as Impulse everywhere else throughout the project
- Your project file hierarchy needs to look like this:

- Now reopen your project to make sure it is configured correctly and start creating!
